Cork County Mayor Kicks Off BOY OF HOPE LOUGH ERNE CHALLENGE 2009

Cllr. Derry Canty, Cork County Mayor, Kicked off the BOY OF HOPE LOUGH ERNE CHALLENGE 2009 with a ceremony at Cork County Council Chambers on Wednesday July 15th. It was a wonderful and auspicious official kick off for this year’s efforts.  There were speeches by Cllr. Derry Canty Cork County Mayor and Donnacha Attig stressing the worth and importance of the project and a reception with refreshments for all attending. Cllr. Canty, Cork County Mayor informed the gathering that he plans to go to Belturbet on August 6 to be present when South African Ambassador Priscilla Jenna Officially launches Omar’s River Bird for this years BOY OF HOPE CHALLENGE.
